OUR WORKSHOPS

Explore the unique intersection of ADHD and LGBTQIA+ identities in this workshop.

ADHD affects attention, memory, and emotional regulation, and these challenges can be amplified by the societal pressures faced by LGBTQIA+ individuals. This workshop will provide foundational knowledge about ADHD while highlighting how identity and stigma impact mental health. Through expert insights and group discussions, participants will gain a deeper understanding of their experiences and connect with others who share similar journeys.

Understanding ADHD in the LGBTQIA+ Context

Learn practical strategies to manage ADHD-related challenges with executive functioning.

This session focuses on understanding key cognitive processes like planning, organization, and time management, which can be particularly difficult for those with ADHD. Participants will explore tools such as task management apps, visual aids, and habit trackers to improve daily productivity. The workshop will also offer tailored approaches for overcoming common obstacles and creating systems that work with, rather than against, an ADHD brain.

ADHD and Executive Functioning Skills

Develop effective strategies to handle intense emotions and rejection sensitivity.

Emotional dysregulation is a common feature of ADHD, often leading to difficulties in managing frustration, sadness, or anger. This workshop introduces practical tools for emotional regulation, including mindfulness techniques, grounding exercises, and cognitive reframing. Participants will also learn strategies for coping with rejection sensitivity and reducing the impact of negative self-talk, helping them to navigate emotional challenges with greater confidence and ease.

Managing Emotional Dysregulation

Discover how to create sustainable routines and prioritise self-care.

Establishing and maintaining effective routines is often a challenge for individuals with ADHD. This workshop provides practical strategies for building habits that support well-being and improve time management. Participants will learn how to design personalized routines that fit their energy levels and explore techniques like “body doubling” for accountability. By the end of the session, they’ll have a clear plan for incorporating self-care into their daily lives.

Self-Care, Time Management & Routines

Cultivate self-compassion and learn to view ADHD as a strength.

Many individuals with ADHD struggle with feelings of shame or inadequacy, often stemming from internalized stigma. This workshop focuses on developing self-compassion and reframing negative beliefs. Through reflective exercises and guided meditations, participants will learn to embrace their neurodiversity and build resilience. The session offers practical strategies for bouncing back from setbacks and fostering a more positive, empowered mindset.

Building Compassion & Resilience

Learn how to take control of your finances with strategies designed for ADHD challenges.

Managing money can feel daunting, especially when impulsivity, forgetfulness, and trouble with planning get in the way. This workshop offers practical tools to help you navigate these obstacles and build financial confidence. You will explore methods for budgeting and tackling impulsive spending. By focusing on ADHD-friendly approaches, this session provides actionable steps to simplify financial management and work toward long-term financial stability.
